Using ARTIC for regional connections

Using ARTIC for regional connections

Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, usually called ARTIC, is a station for regional train and bus connections. Metrolink gives its address as 2626 E. Katella Avenue, Suite 200, Anaheim, CA 92806.

Connections at ARTIC include Metrolink, Orange County Transportation Authority services, Megabus, Greyhound, Tres Estrellas de Oro long-distance buses and Rally. Separate fares are required for Megabus, Greyhound and Tres Estrellas de Oro. Metrolink’s Rail 2 Rail program also gives its monthly pass holders additional travel options on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains.

If you drive to ARTIC, complimentary parking is available, and overnight parking is allowed. Metrolink directs visitors to the ARTIC website for details about overnight parking. The station also has bike racks and lockers, restrooms, a waiting room, retail, dining, Wi-Fi and phone charging stations.

The regular OC Bus fare is $2 per trip, with a daily fare cap of $5. You can pay through OCTA’s Wave fare system using a Wave card, mobile app or contactless payment. Riders aged 18 and under and Community College Pass holders ride OC Bus free.

ARTIC’s station building hours are 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Its platforms are open for all train arrivals and departures. Metrolink requires a valid ticket on every platform and train, so have your ticket ready before boarding.

Bus schedules, fares and station arrangements can change. Check the official OCTA and Metrolink sites before you go.

When a car or rideshare may suit better

A car or rideshare can make sense for a trip that does not line up with a bus route or its operating pattern. Driving can also serve Anaheim city centre and Disneyland Resort destinations without relying on bus schedules.
